Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer who is responsible for maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS) and supporting operational excellence initiatives across our manufacturing facility in Vancouver, WA. This role ensures compliance with global Food Safety and Quality Schemes and Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SQF, FSC, HACCP), customer and regulatory requirements while serving as the link between World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and management systems.

This position is based in Vancouver, WA.

Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.

What you will do

As a Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SQF (Safe Quality Food) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) management.
  • Lead deviation investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes and internal quality claims.
  • Lead food safety culture initiatives, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) action plans, calibration management systems and measurement system analysis activities.
  • Lead the integration of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies with management system requirements.
  • Develop, train and mentor a cross-functional internal auditor team while coordinating annual management system training programs for production and support employees.

We believe you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years of quality systems experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, SQF, FSC, HACCP, SPC, Gage R&R, FMEA, CAPA.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis.
  • Ideally knowledge of Minitab, SAP, Power BI.
  • Knowledge in project management and training facilitation preferred.
  • Lead Auditor experience a plus.
  • Ideally Six Sigma certification.

Pay Equity

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $ 72,500 USD - $ 103,400 USD
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
