Job Description

The Quality Engineer supports manufacturing, ensuring products comply with quality standards, that the Quality Management System is updated and maintained. Assist in failure investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action and process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the manufacturing team in quality control activities.
• Provide quality guidance and project management for jobs in progress.
• Support sales in resolution of any customer quality issues.
• Participate in management and documentation of material, product and process development.
• Support product quality investigations for manufacturing area using tools such as 8D, 4M, 5 Why’s.
• Ensure completion of corrective actions in manufacturing area
• Conduct training on quality concepts and tools; interface with all other engineering departments within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality or manufacturing related issues.
• Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; evaluating process capabilities and establishing required standards and metrics
• Maintain and control calibration records for all test and inspection equipment.
• Generates internal and external customer required quality documents
• Assist in the oversight of the safety and health management system.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS or AS degree in Engineering or related technical field with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ISO 9001
• Statistical Analysis Techniques
