Job Description

Implement and maintain quality assurance standards for products and manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for utilizing core quality tools ( FMEA, Control Plans, SPC) to prevent defects, reduce process variation, and support the resolution of internal quality issues.

Quality Engineer I

Implement and maintain quality assurance standards for products and manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for utilizing core quality tools ( FMEA, Control Plans, SPC) to prevent defects, reduce process variation, and support the resolution of internal quality issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None. This is a salary exempt entry/junior-level individual contributor role.

  • Reports to: Quality Engineering Manager (Guided by QE Lead).

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain key process control documents, including Process Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
  • Conduct basic process capability studies and utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Participate in APQP teams, assisting with the creation and validation of necessary quality deliverables.
  • Lead small-to-medium scale root cause analysis efforts and implement sustainable corrective actions (CARs).
  • Work closely with the Quality Control team to establish clear inspection standards and resolve measurement system issues ( MSA).

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Strong written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office and function-specific software.
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills.
  • Desire to solve problems and learn new processes.
  • Some travel may be required (<5%)

Education and Experience:

  • 0-3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer or similar technical quality role.
  • Required Certification: Formal training in core quality tools or methodologies is highly desirable

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work on your feet on the plant floor for extender periods
  • Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to perform minor heavy lifting
