Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee Quality data and reports.
  • Approve quality notes are correct on purchase requisitions.
  • Work with program engineers to support the program requirements.
  • Ensure CDRL compliances.
  • PFMEA
  • Document nonconforming materials and coordinate the material reviews and dispositions
  • Ensure nonconformances are properly documented and coordinate final dispositions with engineering
  • Conduct meetings for status and failure analysis.
  • Track program quality metrics through Power BI and other reporting software.
  • Approve final data packages prior to delivery.
  • Notify Government customers of nonconformances.
  • Ensure root cause and corrective actions on nonconformances are completed.
  • Report any process changes to Management.
  • Track and complete issued NCRs and report through program channels.
  • Problem solving Non-conformances and conduct root cause investigations on assembly components.

Basic Qualifications

  • The Candidate must have a BS degree and (4) years of relevant experience or master’s with (2) years of prior relevant experience. (In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma/GED or equivalent education with Twelve (10+) years of relevant experience will be considered.)
  • The candidate should have experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in effectively communicating within a team environment.
  • Experience with internal and external suppliers.
  • The candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville North Alabama, AL area.
  • Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics, CAD models, specifications, and contract quality requirements, and other documents, including review and approval of AS9102 First Article Inspection.
  • Must have knowledge of how to efficiently use micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, and calipers etc.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings with GD&T.
  • Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a DoD Secret Clearance.


• The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CQE Certification.
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations.
  • Six Sigma certified

Pay Range:

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
