General Duties
The quality engineer is responsible for maintaining Datwyler’s quality system and completing various quality department activities
Specific Duties
Maintains quality manual and quality procedures
Prepares material certifications
Maintains test results for material certifications
Maintains quality department forms, drawings, customer and industry specifications
Helps other departments resolve quality problems
Assists other departments to improve product and process quality and handle quality-related matters
Recommends specific product and process improvements
Assists in completing internal audits
Assists in completing RC/CA
Makes disposition of customer returns
Assists in maintaining ISO and AS quality certifications
Responds to customer requests for non-routine quality projects and information
Approves and maintains all elements of PPAP
Approves first articles and maintains first article backlog
Experience Required
Two years’ experience in a quality, engineering, or operations position
Education Required
College degree with emphasis in engineering, statistics, mathematics, or business administration.
Special Skills Required
Knowledge of quality system management requirements
Very good use of Microsoft Windows and Office programs
Very good verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
Other Requirements
