The DevOps QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC), installer workflows, and deployment processes. This role requires strong QA engineering expertise combined with hands‑on experience across cloud, on‑premises infrastructure, installation testing, automation, and build‑deployment ecosystems. The engineer will validate Azure DevOps pipelines, Bicep/Terraform templates, PowerShell/Shell automation, installer packages, and contribute to enhancing DevSecOps quality standards across hybrid environments.

Job Responsibilities
Pipeline & Infrastructure Quality Assurance
· Perform regression, functional, and integration testing on automated deployment processes.
· Validate application deployment packages, installers, VM configurations, and infrastructure readiness.
· Verify build and deployment automation via Jenkins CI/CD jobs.
· Evaluate deployment workflows across virtual machines, on‑prem infrastructure, and hybrid environments.
· Validate Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for build, release, and deployment workflows.
· Test Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) modules including Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates, and related automation scripts.
· Validate Windows and Unix-based application installers and upgrade workflows.
· Ensure DevOps code quality by enforcing standards, best practices, and quality gates.
Quality Engineering
· Design and execute manual and automated tests focused on DevOps, CI/CD, and installation workflows.
· Perform root cause analysis for pipeline, build, installer, VM, or deployment issues.
· Review logs, metrics, alerts, and telemetry to identify quality improvement opportunities.
· Develop automation to validate deployment processes, installer behaviour, and on‑prem infrastructure configurations.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
· Collaborate with DevOps, CloudOps, QA, and Development teams to ensure high release quality.
· Recommend improvements across automation frameworks, IaC modules, build pipelines, and installation workflows.
· Participate in design reviews for new deployments, pipelines, installers, VM configurations, and infrastructure components.

· Strong hands‑on experience validating Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML).
· Expertise in testing IaC frameworks such as Bicep (preferred), Terraform, or ARM.
· Strong scripting skills: PowerShell, Shell, or Python.
· Understanding of Azure services (App Services, VMs, Storage, Key Vault, Networking).
· Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across CI/CD, installers, infrastructure, and cloud workflows.
Testing & Quality Skills
· Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, installation, and performance testing.
· Ability to design and automate test scenarios for DevOps, installer, and infrastructure workflows.
· Experience building automated validation checks within pipelines.
GitHub Copilot & AI Productivity Skills
· Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI assistants to:
· Accelerate script development (PowerShell/Shell/Python)
· Improve IaC template quality (Bicep/ARM/Terraform)
· Generate automation snippets and unit tests
· Improve documentation, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization
· Ability to use GitHub Copilot MCP features for pipeline analysis and code insights.
· Soft Skills

· High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Experience Requirements
· 4–5 years in QA engineering with at least 2+ years in DevOps QA / CI‑CD quality roles.
· Experience with Azure cloud environments.
· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
· Azure certifications (AZ‑400, AZ‑104) preferred.
Educational Requirements
UG: B.Tech B.E. – Any Specialization (Computers, Electronics/Telecommunication preferred)
PG: MS/M.Sc, M.Tech, or MCA (Computers)
