A successful manufacturer of custom mixed rubber compounds and molded rubber components for the automotive industry, located in Twinsburg, Ohio. This is an exciting career opportunity for a Quality Engineer.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic individual who will be extremely hands-on in support of all areas of the manufacturing operations.

Required skills include:

• Self-motivated
• Multiple problem solving methods
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• MS Office
• Experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
• Experience in the automotive industry

Preferred skills include:

• Experience with APQP and new product launches
• Experience with rubber mixing and rubber molding
• Minitab
• Engineering degree preferred
• Working knowledge of SPC, Process Capability, Metrology, Gage Control, GD&T, DOE, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Internal Auditing, PPAP, Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plan, 3x5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams.

Core responsibilities include:

• Champion customer corrective actions
  • Interacting with all persons related to corrective actions from the shop floor associates to the customer
• Participate in scrap reduction activities
  • Including significant time reviewing mixing and molding processes on the shop floor
• Measure and improve process capability
• Coordinate supplier qualification process
• Continually improve SOPs
• Participate in APQP activities
• Participate in training activities
• Supervise Quality Audit Team
• Promote zero defect culture
