About this role

Carrier is looking for an established Quality Engineering professional. This person will work as an individual contributor to set and achieve objectives for own area of responsibility. They will influence process and planning decisions with knowledge and explanations of Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional and cross organization teams to drive quality improvement
• Lead local embedded quality engineers toward improvement targets and quality performance
• Drive corrective actions toward systemic resolutions and full closure
• Establish regular communication points with key stakeholders on active projects and status
• Actively participate in periodic quality meetings and conferences
• Track and report quality performance metrics to management
• Ensure quality processes are followed
• Travel to customer sites and work on any issues related to assignment
• Main interface between our factory and customer sites
• Lead meetings for residential sites reporting out top quality issues
• Actively participate in commercial customer meetings
• Travel to sites to launch quality clinics and train personnel (Charlotte, NC main office-Indianapolis, IN secondary)
• Work in a professional manner without direct guidance or direction from others

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years of experience quality and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Fluent in English and Spanish as determined by hiring manager
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite tools
• Minitab or similar statistical experience preferred
• Strong relentless root cause analysis skills
• Must have process or product improvement experience
• Must be a self-directed/self-starter professional
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities
• Must be able to lead multiple cross functional teams
• Success managing multiple quality projects
• Must be willing to travel as necessary to IN and live in Charlotte
