• 
  The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all fin and tube heat exchangers manufactured in the factory meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and audits, analyzing production data, and working with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product and process quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.
• Ensure quality control processes are in place at all stages of production — from raw material inspection to final product testing.
• Lead a team of quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers; ensure proper training and performance management.
• Analyze product and process quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits.
• Oversee documentation and maintenance of quality records, including test reports, inspection reports, and calibration logs.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, AHRI, and customer-specific standards for fin and tube heat exchangers.
• Work closely with suppliers and procurement for supplier quality management, including audits and incoming inspection criteria.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and FMEA.
• Respond to customer complaints and quality issues, leading investigations and resolution processes.
• Monitor KPIs related to quality performance (e.g., defect rates, customer complaints, scrap/rework levels).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role, preferably in HVAC or heat exchanger manufacturing.
• Familiarity with heat exchanger manufacturing processes, including fin press, tube expansion, brazing, and pressure testing.
• Experience with quality tools and methods (FMEA, SPC, control charts, DOE).
• Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 9001, ASME, AHRI, etc.).
• Proficient in using measurement and testing equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP and QMS systems is a plus.
• Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) is an advantage.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing plant environment with regular exposure to machinery, noise, and shop floor conditions.
• Requires occasional travel for supplier visits or customer audits.
