WeareseekingaSeniorSoftwareDevelopmentEngineerinTest(SDET)withstrong expertise in Playwright (TypeScript) and Selenium (Java) to strengthen our Quality Engineering practice. The ideal candidate brings deep automation skills, solid

engineeringdiscipline, andthe ability tomentorfunctionalproductspecialists while driving an automation-first, shift-left testing culture.

This role is hands-on, collaborative, and centraltoscaling high-quality testautomation across the enterprise.

KeyResponsibilities

TestAutomation&FrameworkOwnership

• Design,develop,andmaintainautomatedtestsuitesusingPlaywright (TypeScript) and Selenium (Java).

• Contributetoandenhancetheenterpriseautomationframework-ensuring scalability, reusability, and maintainability.

• Implement advanced capabilities such as parallel execution, test orchestration, efficient waits, and dynamic test data.

• LeveragePlaywrightMCPServerandAI-basedautomationacceleratorsto reduce script development time and improve velocity.

Shift-Left&Quality Engineering

• Driveshift-lefttestingthroughearlycollaborationwithdevelopers,architects, and product teams.

• Champion an API-first testing approach, ensuring service-level validations precede UI tests.

• Participateinfeaturegrooming,DoR(DefinitionofReady)validations,and ensure automation hooks are defined early.

Cross-FunctionalCollaboration

• Work closely withProductTestingSpecialists, Dev, DevOps, andArchitecture teams to ensure holistic testing.

• Mentorfunctionaltestersonautomationpracticesandsupporttheirupskilling journey.

• Support RCA discussions, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

CI/CD&EngineeringPractices

• IntegrateautomatedtestsintoCI/CDpipelines(Jenkins etc.).

• Ensurestable,fast,andreliablepipelineswithproperlogging,reporting,and observability.

• Drivecodereviewdiscipline,automationcoverageimprovements,and engineering best practices.

RequiredSkills&Experience

✔CoreTechnologySkills

• Strong hands-on expertiseinPlaywright withTypeScript(mandatory).

• Solid experience with Selenium WebDriver; Java skills are a plus. Familiarity with automation patterns and best practices is desirable.

• Preferred: Backend engineering experience with .NET and familiarity with major test frameworks such as xUnit or JUnit, with an understanding of their role in the SDLC.

• Foster a culture of test-driven development throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Deepunderstandingofautomationarchitecture,pageobjectmodels,fixtures, mocks, and reusable components.

• ExperiencewithAPItestingusingRESTtoolsorPlaywrightAPImodule.

• StrongGitexperienceandexposuretobranchingstrategies,versioning,andcode qualitytools.

• ExperiencewithPlaywrightMCPServerorAI-assistedautomationtooling.

• Exposuretoenterprise-gradeautomationframeworks.
