Job Description

The Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Based in Lebanon, Tennessee, this permanent full-time position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, implement solutions, continuous improvement to ensure compliance, and enhance overall production efficiency. The Quality Engineer will contribute significantly to maintaining the organization's reputation for excellence in the manufacturing and production industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production teams to analyze quality data and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics and present findings to management.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality control processes and best practices.
  • Maintain and update site quality policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure US compliance with ISO standards.
  • Assist in the development of new products by providing quality input during the design phase.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues to determine root causes and implement solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Electronics, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in power electronics/PCBA development for high-power systems.
  • Six Sigma/Lean experience or certifications and/or Lead Auditor experience
  • Strong understanding of power electronic controls systems - PCBA design, and firmware/hardware interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies, such as ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality control tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
