Quality Engineer
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry – Manitowoc, WI

We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Quality Engineer to support and strengthen our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading structured problem-solving efforts, coaching teams, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll be a visible leader on the shop floor — collaborating cross-functionally, resolving quality issues at the root cause, and ensuring best practices are reinforced daily.

What You’ll Do
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and root cause analysis
- Support production by coaching and reinforcing quality standards and best practices
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Quality
- Monitor quality metrics and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, and quality documentation
- Participate in APQP activities and support PPAP submissions
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers on quality concerns
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment (internships count)
- Strong experience in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Experience supporting manufacturing floor operations
- Working knowledge of quality tools (8D, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, PPAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
