and Responsibilities

Introduction

  • Working closely with the Quality Manager to improve the Business Management processes in line with the Regulatory, Customer and Business needs.
  • Supporting and hosting Customer Audits and visits as well as a Customer Focal for Quality.
  • Driving effective Continual Improvement activities in the Value Stream to deliver RFT and COPQ objectives – including PPAP, Control Plans, 8D RCCA.
  • Deliver planned Internal Audits to support annual internal audit plan and manage non-conformances to completion on time.
  • Drive improvements in the Quality Culture.
  • Quality Training.
  • Deliver the Value Stream Quality Improvement Plan.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • Health and Safety awareness and engagement
  • Coaching, Training, engagement and visual on shop floor
  • BMS Process, Procedure Documentation creation
  • Pro active problem identification and solving – using tools and techniques appropriate to task
  • Accountability for driving and facilitating effective RCCA through AS13000 deployment
  • Manage Customer Returns, including determining liability , using / issue of RMA and driving to root cause .
  • Attend and support daily Tier 2 meetings
  • Lead and Focal for identified Key Customer Accounts – driving performance improvement and compliance to standards
  • Managing and reporting on Permit / Waiver status and also for Processing Permit applications for Focal Customers
  • Conducting internal audits to AS9100 and support and lead on customer Audits as required
  • Raising the level of Quality Awareness through the support Teams using techniques such as Toolbox Talks
  • Key player within delivery team – focussed on RFT and OTD
  • Co-ordination and lead on PPAP activity
  • You may be required from time to time to undertake such other duties as the company may reasonably require.

Competency

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Good Understanding AS9100 and Business Management Systems.
  • Be able to influence key stakeholders and cross functional teams to achieve key business objectives and deliver process improvement.
  • Able to create and work to KPI’s in a performance driven business environment.
  • Good time and priority management.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead where appropriate effective RCCA problem solving events with a cross functional team.
  • Work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Able to and confident in presenting to the wider organisation.
  • Ability to think and act strategically across all the support areas
  • Bias towards action - a completer finisher

Qualifications/Skills/Personal Qualities :

  • A high standard of Maths and English.
  • A sound experience base in problem solving – method specific
  • Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualified (AS9100)
  • Relevant training in AS9100 and ISO.
  • Experience of Customer FAIR to AS9102.
  • A formal qualification in Quality / electronic / mechanical engineering.
  • Computer literate.
  • PPAP / Lean Manufacturing/ CI qualification and or relevant experience in application of lean tools and creations of improvement plans. (Six sigma)
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience of Leading Teams

  • No Audit Non compliances in VS’s
  • RFT - Product Quality Right First Time
  • COPQ - Cost of Poor Quality
  • 8D Status - Complete on Time and Effectiveness
