To lead, manage & continuously develop the quality management system for Entrematic NA, ensuring optimal quality in everything we do. Customer perceived quality is paramount and hence the scope of the role is Record NA. This role is expected to last a 12 month contract period and is temporarily covering a leave of absence.
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of Record NA strategic & tactical plan under the guidance of the Vaughan Plant Manager and PEDESTRIAN NA Quality Manager (when available)
Define and implement the quality assurance strategy in harmony with PEDESTRIAN NA, Record NA and PEDESTRIAN Supply Chain strategic direction
Lead, manage & develop the Record NA quality management system
Develop, Mentor & grow teams & individuals to enable future growth and innovation
Secure customer perceived quality through continuously improving processes, tools, competence and way of working.
Ensure the quality awareness & business criticality through communication, training and regular forums.
Document & research quality issues using the BC365 ERP quality modules for RMAs and drive continuous improvement actions

Quality Management
The Quality Engineer is the voice of the Customer & Quality in the Vaughan facility.
Quality Engineer will lead and manage quality claims process
Authorized to recommend a production order or shipment be stopped for assessment.
The PEDESTRIAN NA Quality Engineer will have the final authority to stop or hold a shipment or production order, after the assessment is complete.
Authorized to quarantine parts and/or products for disposition
Propose & lead recall when required
Reduce annual warranty cost and other KPI’s as directed
All other assigned duties, as necessary
Quality Management System
Ownership of Record NA QMS & BC365 RMA Quality Claims for Record NA (Canada)
Main interface to external certification bodies (E.g. ISO, TUV, SP)
Manage findings and non-conformities from internal/external audits
Authorized to delegate & follow up actions concerning QMS across wider CA organization

Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Exposure to intermediate/loud noise is expected when working in the manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or documented experience from successfully running similar operation/function in similar industry.
Languages: Proficient in spoken and written English is necessary, other languages is an advantage.
Computer skills: Proficient ability to handle office tools is necessary and experience from claims handling applications is an advantage
Other: Experience from establishing quality management systems and implementing digital tools/applications is meriting
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a global and complex supply chain/quality organization is preferred
Compensation: $30-36/hr, based on experience.
