Job Description

What you’ll be able to do:
• Handle and Improve main Quality metrics (R/1000, CPU, and NPS)
• Lead development of single agenda for quality including issue found in various sources (customer claims, DTC universal clock speed, quicker service fix, dealer special service handling, and warranty spend)
• Represent at various Quality forums
• Investigate, Pareto and share the highest Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) contributors
• Organize quality symptoms into Problem Objects that are documented, monitored and actioned in Jira 8D tools.
• Proactively identify and gather peer support to quickly solve any issues affecting customers
• Propose methods to reduce unnecessary toil and manual work related to quality escalation management

Critical Success Factors

  • A passion for trouble shooting and thirst for gaining a deeper understanding of multiple technologies across a complex ecosystem
  • Keep a clear communication channel on daily work/activities with Direct Supervisor/Peers, while maintaining resilience to balance among daily/weekly new demands
  • Keep proper track and throughput on individual tickets/JIRA
  • Submit monthly Quality reports with action plans/detailed status
  • A true passion for trouble shooting and thirst for gaining a deeper understanding of multiple technologies across a complex ecosystem

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of working experience with Software Analysis/Testing, CAN bus technology and tools (Log Review/Root Cause Analysis)
  • 2+ years of experience working with Engineering tools, Databases, Defect Tracking Systems (Diagnostic Engineering Tool, IVS, VADR, JIRA)
  • 2+ years of working experience in Service Tools/Applications (such as FDRS, PTS, workshop manuals)
  • 2+ years of experience with Quality methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, triage capabilities 8D, Fishbone, Is/Is Not, 3 legged 5 why, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience working in a team collaboration environment with upper management and peers..

Our preferred requirements:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge in Six-Sigma and/or Quality/Reliability tools - DoE, Taguchi Methods, FMA, etc.
  • A Green Belt and/or Black Belt
  • Solid grasp of vehicle electrical architectures and components.
  • Working knowledge of Ford Quality tracking resources (AWS/GSAR, Datacubes, BSAQ, ECB, GCQIS, QNPS, etc.)
  • High level of interpersonal skills to successfully connect with a diverse group of people and multi-functional teams.
  • Ability to respond and prioritize several demands from different teams and points of view
  • Ability to drive Quality/Performance mentality into various levels inside the Company
