Description of Work

The Quality Development Specialist (QDS) is responsible for the quality assurance program. The role requires considerable travel in the eastern region.

Responsibilities include auditing casework records, consulting with staff and management on casework issues, providing training to counselors

and other field-based staff and administering the promotional testing process for independent rehabilitation counselors.

Salary Grade Range: $60,881 - $106,544

Recruitment Range: $60,881 - $74,000

**Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours**

• Demonstrated experience approving casework and service delivery decisions in a rehabilitation program.
• Thorough knowledge of EIPD VR and IL policies and procedures, as well as RSA Federal regulations governing VR Agencies.
• Knowledge and experience developing and providing training/presentations to internal or external staff and stakeholders.
• Experience working effectively with teams.
• Experience prioritizing tasks and implementing strategies to manage deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Requires fingering, talking, repetitive motion, and standing. The selected applicant needs to have the means to travel as the job requires.

• Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or Counseling from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in a rehabilitation service program; or
• Master's degree in a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in a rehabilitation service program; or
• Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, counseling, or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in a rehabilitation service program; or,
• an equivalent combination of education and experience.
