We are actively seeking a Quality Data Entry Clerk to join and grow in the PPG organization.

The Quality Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering dimensional inspection results and quality-related information into the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This position plays a critical role in maintaining complete, accurate, and traceable quality records that support customer requirements, AS9100 standards, and internal manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and computer systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Accurately enter dimensional inspection data into the ERP system from inspection reports and manufacturing documentation.
  • Verify data entered into the ERP system matches source documents prior to submission.
  • Review inspection paperwork for completeness and notify Quality personnel of missing or incomplete information.
  • Maintain electronic quality records in accordance with company procedures and document retention requirements.
  • Assist with organizing, scanning, filing, and maintaining quality documentation.
  • Support product traceability by ensuring inspection records are accurately associated with the appropriate work orders and part numbers.
  • Communicate data discrepancies or documentation errors to the Quality department for resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
  • Follow all AS9100 quality procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist the Quality department with additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous data entry, clerical, or administrative experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP software.
  • Excellent typing accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting established deadlines.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality documentation or inspection reports.
  • Experience using an ERP or manufacturing software system.
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings or dimensional measurements is a plus but not required.
