Job Description

The Opportunity

Are you a motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for quality, collaboration, and supporting Operations toward excellence? Come join our team! Under the supervision of the EHS Director, the Quality Coordinator will support all aspects of Wajax’s Quality Management System across Canada.

The Role

  • Update, develop and communicate QMS Policy and Procedures that meet the needs of diverse business operations
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of the QMS, gain Operational buy-in and implement accordingly
  • Plan and conduct annual internal audits at ISO 9001 certified branches across Canada, and support those in process of ISO implementation
  • Coordinate external audits with certifying bodies and support branches during audit
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality management standards, including maintaining and supporting ISO 9001 certification.
  • Collaborate with management to establish and track QMS objectives and KPI’s
  • Facilitate and document Quality Management Reviews
  • Coordinate and document risk and opportunity assessments
  • Plan and audit suppliers and monitor corrective actions to closure
  • Manage the non-conformance database, review non-conformances and identify trends; oversee the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Develop and facilitate QMS training as required
  • Work in cooperation with other Quality representatives within the Company to drive integration and alignment of key QMS elements / procedures

The Candidate

  • Education: Degree and/or professional designation in a related field (e.g. Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ).
  • Work Experience: 3+ years working in a Quality Assurance role. ISO 9001:2015 Certified auditor. Industrial work environment.
  • Knowledge of CSA N299 and AAR requirements are an asset
  • Knowledge: Microsoft Applications, Root Cause Analysis, Auditing, Distribution / Service operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
  • Organized, results-drive, independent worker
  • Ability and willingness to travel across Canada for auditing purposes a must.
