Quality Control Coordinator

Utilizes the standard operating procedure and specifications to evaluate raw materials and product throughout the manufacturing process. Supports customer and internal audit programs. Assists in investigation of customer complaints and supplier quality notifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting, releasing and tagging of incoming raw materials.
  • Follows hygiene and safety guidelines.
  • Completes any manual documentation according to cGMP.
  • Records results in either SAP or BDE.
  • Checks in-process and finished product from manufacturing compliance to specifications and procedures. Including visual inspection.
  • Uploads data from BDE to SAP once reviewed.
  • Releases orders in SAP per procedure in a timely manner.
  • Inspects product in the QC Lab, Coating Line, Lamination Line, Slitting and/or the Packing area.
  • Performs ATR scans for customer supplied product.
  • Completes customer tailgate samples per written sampling plans.
  • Enters intercompany quality notifications and physically tags materials.
  • Uses laboratory equipment as specified for the appropriate testing of both raw materials, in process material and final products.
  • Keeps all test instruments in smooth working order.
  • Works closely with operators and supervisors; has daily communications. Coordinates and cooperates with production personnel.
  • Follows all relevant procedures located in the IMS.
  • Investigates incorrect or questionable information on work orders and roll labels, determines if there is a problem and corrects as appropriate.
  • Ensures calibration of test instrumentation is completed monthly or as required per instrument.
  • Ensures all retain samples are processed in accordance with procedures.
  • Participates in daily safety observations and corrective actions, as applicable.
  • Participates in physical inventory counting.
  • Entry of supplier quality notifications, tracks status and completion.
  • Follows good safety and housekeeping practices in their assigned work areas and conducts cGMP walkthroughs in the Plant as requested.
  • Promotes continuous improvement in all detailed duties.
  • Performs duties with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain Training Handbook for updated procedures pertaining to Quality Control personnel.
  • Investigates customer complaints and enters evaluation information on the Quality Notification in SAP as requested.
  • Continuous improvement in training and responsibilities to allow flexibility and adaptability of working with our departments in the facility as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
