Job Description

The Quality Control Technician III is responsible for performing and documenting routine checks, testing, gauging and instrument inspections of materials, goods in process, and finished goods. The Quality Control Technician III is responsible for inspection / testing of materials and products against approved specifications using validated inspection and testing methods.He/She will also perform process audits during normal hours in order to ensure adherence to approved operational procedures.Is also responsible for documentation related to such inspections.

  • Perform visual and functional inspection for all materials/products in assigned area.

  • Perform assigned routine inspections of materials, goods in process, or finished goods where results are compared with Company Quality Standards.

  • Perform detailed inspection when necessary to determine quality of product.

  • Perform process audits as needed.

  • Inspect all incoming packaging components and finish good devices and completes corresponding inspection records with accuracy and good documentation practices.

  • Verifies received quantities, item key numbers, lot numbers (if applicable), material name, and container contents of all incoming materials by cross-referencing with applicable documents.

  • Performs inspections, sampling and testing of all incoming raw materials and finish goods.

  • Verifies receipt of Certificates Analysis and Material Safety Data Sheets on all lots of incoming raw materials.

  • Performs inspections of incoming packaging materials per Standard procedures as required.

  • Performs and supports inspection training of other quality inspectors.

  • Supports product investigations by accurate inspection of faulty devices or components and/or retrieving inspection records.

  • Support new projects and improvement actions within assigned area.

  • Supports as a lead quality role inside production rooms as applicable.

  • Supports quality system activities related to other areas as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of geometric dimension & tolerance (GD&T) procedures and requirements.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of PC Systems and MS Office.

  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and inspection techniques.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Intermediate English level.

  • Experience with measuring devices such as meter, gauges, calipers and other measuring instruments.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, and other applicable regulations.

  • Experience in dealing/documenting deviations and/or variances.

  • Experience in generation of procedures and forms.

Work Environment:

  • Production/Clean Room/Warehouse/Office environment which may require long periods of sitting, standing, or getting up and down throughout the day.

  • Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds.

  • Adherence to gowning and cleanroom requirements may be required.

Experience:

  • 4+ years experience in a Quality Inspection role.

  • Experience/knowledge working in a regulated environment (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, etc.).

Education:

  • Highschool diplomaorequivalentqualification.
  • QualityTechnicianDegree.
