Permobil has a position open for a Quality Control Technician

• Pay Range: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour
• Shift: 1st Shift
• Schedule: Full-time Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm (Must have the ability to work overtime hours.)

Your Role in Our Mission

• Position Purpose: Under direct supervision, is involved in assuring that the final assembly, configuration, and inspection of products meet required customer and regulatory specifications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in final wheelchair configuration, quality inspection, testing, and compliance, ensuring products meet customer requirements, internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and shipping readiness.
• Review sales orders and product specifications to verify all configurations, options, dimensions, and customer requirements are accurately reflected in the finished product.
• Perform in-process and final quality inspections and functional testing, including mechanical and electronic systems, mobility, braking, seating, and installed features, to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document quality concerns, nonconformances, and corrective actions, recommending repairs as needed and maintaining accurate quality records.
• Collaborate with Supervisor and/or Lead to resolve quality issues, drive timely corrective actions, and support customer satisfaction.
• Analyze quality trends and inspection data to support continuous improvement, defect reduction, and enhanced product reliability.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
• Highlight cross-functional collaboration and ownership.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required, along with related experience in quality control, manufacturing, inspection, or a similar field.
• Ability to read and interpret sales orders, product specifications, and work instructions to ensure wheelchairs meet customer requirements and quality standards.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, quality inspection, quality control, or a related environment. Experience building Permobil products and knowledge of product configurations is a plus. Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to inspect products, perform functional testing, identify and document defects, and support corrective actions to ensure quality standards are met.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this role is $21.00 – $24.00 per hour. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity.
