Position Summary:
Midwest Hose & Specialty, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Control Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet company standards and customer specifications through inspection, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods
Conduct testing and verification of products to ensure compliance with specifications
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Identify defects or non-conformances and communicate findings to production teams
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures
Maintain calibration and proper use of measuring and testing equipment
Collaborate with production and management to improve quality processes
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred
2+ years previous quality control or manufacturing experience
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical documents
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and data entry)
Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Preferred Skills:
Experience in hose, industrial, or manufacturing environments
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS)
Knowledge of ISO standards is a plus
