POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Supervisor oversees day-to-day quality assurance and quality control activities within the manufacturing operation. This role provides frontline leadership to Quality team members, ensures adherence to established quality systems and standard work, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supervises daily Quality operations, including inspection, auditing, and documentation activities, to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external requirements.
• Leads, coaches, and develops Quality team members through training, performance feedback, and adherence to standard work practices.
• Supports the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the local Quality Management System in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Partners with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to identify quality risks, investigate nonconformances, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitors and reports key quality metrics, escalates issues that may negatively impact product quality, and assists in developing solutions.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Kaizen activities to drive waste reduction, process consistency, and improved product quality.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field (if applicable)
• Certificate(s) or License(s): ASQ certification, Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, or similar quality-related certification preferred
• Years of experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality or manufacturing environment. Prior experience leading or directing the work of others preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production operations
• Familiarity with Quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective action, SPC, and basic auditing practices
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Kaizen principles
• Strong verbal, written, and computer skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with multiple levels of the organization

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimal, including occasional travel to other WRMG facilities as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks, stands, and does computer work.

Occasionally sits and lifts up to 50 lbs.

Additional Physical Requirements

• Occasional bending, reaching, and working in a manufacturing environment

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
