YMH is a leading builder of modular dwellings and commercial buildings servicing the Lifestyle, Tourism and Commercial sectors. With facilities in both Mulwala NSW and Bendigo VIC. All our modular buildings are designed and built to the very highest standards with a true focus on quality.

We are seeking a Quality Control Officer to join our team. The position is full-time and based out of our head office in Mulwala with an employer who values your team and solution driven mindset. You will need to be a confident, detail-oriented individual ready to thrive in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications or industry experience in a similar role
• Construction Induction Card (White card)
• Current Drivers Licence
• Current Forklift Licence advantageous

Skills required:

• A minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent computer literacy and Microsoft Skills
• Proficient knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including framing, lock up, fix, cladding & decking work highly regarded
• Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role
• Comprehensive knowledge of building methods, processes, and materials
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
• Ability to follow and drive for procedure improvements & efficiencies
• A positive and solution driven mindset
• Strong work ethic and the willingness to help others and work within a team
• Personal pride in the quality of your work and strong attention to detail
• Confidence to work independently
• Ability to meet required deadlines
• A good understanding of the building/manufacturing industry (desirable but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Effectively complete al quality control programs
• Learn from QC outcomes and drive continuous improvements in quality through coaching and development of the construction and sub contracting teams
• Discuss daily and weekly tasks and schedules with the Construction Supervisor to ensure operational efficiencies.
• Manage and further strengthen key relationships with all trades and suppliers.
• Actively participate in the development of new products and methods.
