We’re looking for experienced Quality Control Officers to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving our quality and food safety standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you’ll be a key contributor to our day-to-day quality operations, working closely with Production to ensure raw materials, processes and finished products consistently meet VMC’s quality, safety and compliance requirements.

We currently have two full-time opportunities available

• 1 permanent position
• 1 fixed-term contract (parental leave cover, minimum 8 months)

This role suits someone who is confident working on the floor, brings a strong understanding of food safety systems, and can take ownership of quality outcomes while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll support a Production schedule operating between 6am–6pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work as required

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control inspections across raw materials, in-process and finished goods
• Identify, investigate and support resolution of quality issues and non-conformances
• Review and verify production documentation, including batch records and BOMs
• Support and contribute to continuous improvement of quality systems and processes
• Conduct internal audits of production processes and documentation
• Partner with Production teams to ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP and product specifications
• Maintain accurate quality records and reporting
• Promote and uphold a strong food safety and quality culture across the business

About You

You’re experienced, detail-focused and confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You take ownership, communicate effectively, and aren’t afraid to step in and solve problems on the floor.

Experience

• Previous experience in FMCG, food or manufacturing quality control (essential)
• Demonstrated experience working with GMP, HACCP and quality systems (essential)
• Exposure to health supplements or regulated products (desirable)
• Tertiary qualification in Science or related discipline (desirable)
