Job Description
The Geozone Quality Manager is responsible for the administration of the organizations Operational Excellence and Performance System (OEPS), implementation and sustainment of the company’s business excellence programs and has the authority over processes affecting service quality. The Quality Professional will provide leadership for the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of the company’s OEPS and support system integrity through the geographical area of responsibility.
The Geozone Quality Manager promotes and facilitates service quality in the business and operations in accordance with the organizations business excellence programs and systems within their area. They lead and or assist in root cause analysis investigations in conjunction with the applicable operations manager. As well as ensures auditing of management system to ensure uniformity of implementation and overall effectiveness of management system within the area.

QUALITY

OPERATIONS
- Participate in all QHSE meetings and to report any non-conformances, Near Miss Incident and QHSE Improvement according to the QHSE System.
- Manage all plant quality control activity performed by QC Supervisors, Inspectors and Technicians.
- Planning, allocating and monitoring QC Inspection activities for all relevant stages of inspection.
- Responsible for ensuring documentation for the QC which will be the input for the final product release documentation.
- Responsible for ensuring skill and competency requirement for special processes and specific requirements of VAM connection, Copper Coating, Tenaris etc.
- Responsible for evaluating competency and updating functional competency matrix.
- Ensuring validation of special processes (eg. NDE, Phosphating, Welding, HT, etc.).
- Responsible for execution / coordination for the Third Party Inspection as per applicable requirements and responsible for getting the final outcome of the inspection.
- Ensure QMS and related processes are understood & adhered to by all team members.
- Responsible for controlling and maintaining a calibration Management System of: Plant Equipment’s, Testing, Detections and Measuring Equipment’s (TMMDE).
- Employee undergone NDT certification training / Re-certification training, agency must be conveyed for company written practice and during certificate review it must be ensured that NDT certificates must refer to company return practice requirement.
- Authorised to use “Stop Work Authority” In case of concerns with safety, quality non-conformances, or integrity concerns, to suspend operations.
- Authorised for setting individual goals of team members and evaluation of the personnel competency.
- Authorised for evaluation of processes within the scope of QMS.
- Authorised to decide the conformity of the product which will be part of product release.
- Authorised to report the significant concern to the reporting manager.
- Authorised to hold the supply / Process / product in case of non-conforming situations.
- Accountable for customer concerns / complaints and implementation of correcting actions in association with CFT.
- Accountable for implementing the API Specifications Q1 requirements within the assigned area / function.
- Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
- Responsible to participate and determine the inspection requirements through contract review / feasibility study.
- Ensure all quality data required by customers is delivered and presented.
- Manage all issues affecting service delivery in a timely manner.
- Ensure controls are in place to guarantee compliance with government regulations in relation to quality.
- Must be able to perform basic problem solving and troubleshooting when needed.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
- Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
- All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
- Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

- Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personal & to foster an environment that supports the attraction & retention of a high performing talented workforce

REQUIRED
- DME or BE Mechanical with 8 to 10 Years of relevant experience
- Considerable relevant experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance function
- Must have experience of team management (Supervisory Role)
PREFERRED
- Bachelor’s or equivalent preferred
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQA; CMQ/OE)
- Industry recognized Training: CQM, CQE, CQA, CRE, CRMP, Lean and ISO certifications are desired
- Membership of appropriate professional societies
REQUIRED
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of measuring instruments, calibration, gauges, etc.
- Self-motivated and committed to service quality is a must.

- Awareness about NDE process (MT, PT, UT, RT and VT)
- A team player able to work closely with fellow employees at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and third-party auditors.
