Job Description

Weatherford is seeking a detail-orinted QC Inspector to support prodeuct quality and ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements throughout the manufacturing process. The successful candidate will perform inspections, verify product conformity, maintain quality records, and ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and company standards before release.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, HSE, and other cross-functional teams, the QC Inspector will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a strong culture of quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections in accordance with approved inspection plans, customer specifications, and company procedures.
  • Inspect products, materials, and components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment.
  • Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation required for product release and traceability.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming products, and support investigations into quality issues.
  • Verify that inspection and testing activities comply with the Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable industry standards.
  • Support calibration activities by ensuring measuring and testing equipment is within valid calibration status.
  • Assist with third-party inspections and customer witness inspections as required.
  • Participate in contract reviews to understand inspection requirements and quality expectations.
  • Participate in QHSE meetings, toolbox talks, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever safety, quality, or integrity concerns are identified.
  • Maintain inspection equipment, work areas, and documentation in a clean, organized, and audit-ready condition.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Weatherford HSE policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of business operations.

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Quality Control principles and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, gauges, calibration equipment, and inspection tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques and mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with non-conformance reporting and quality documentation.
  • Understanding of calibration practices and inspection requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.
  • Knowledge of Hexagon ARM Laser Scanning and programming is an advantage.
  • Oil & Gas manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0–2 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
  • Knowledge of inspection methods, measuring instruments, gauges, and calibration practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas or industrial manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with mechanical products, inspection processes, and quality documentation.
  • Knowledge of Hexagon ARM Laser Scanning, operation, and programming.
  • Awareness of NDT processes and inspection standards
