Material & Equipment Directly Used
• Responsible to ensure quality requirements are performed and documented in accordance with applicable regulations regarding maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of aircraft, engine, and aircraft components/parts.
• Provide technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, rigging, instruments, test flights, etc. in determining document sign off, safety, airworthiness, or conformance.
• Reviews paperwork ensuring that all work has been documented properly, completed, and filed in accordance with customer and company standards. Interpret and check prints, both hard copy and electronic, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications.
• Perform materials/Parts receiving Inspections ensuing products meet contract requirements and to determine conformity to blueprint/drawings.
• Use precision measuring guides, gauges, and laboratory instruments.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and Company safety procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Working Environment
• Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
• Broad working knowledge of aircraft maintenance, inspection techniques, FAA regulations, and technical publications.
• Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications.
• If required, able to work alternate shifts.
• If required, able to obtain a “Secret” security clearance.
Physical Activities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arm, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and work on ladders or maintenance stands.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Experience
· Required five years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
Skills & Technology Used
• Detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc.
· Basic computer data entry skills required for use of maintenance and logistics databases.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
