As a Quality Control Inspector, you will ensure the integrity of materials, components, and assemblies through rigorous testing and inspection processes. You'll play a critical role in maintaining our high-quality standards while adhering to product specifications and customer requirements in the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final inspections of parts, products, and purchased materials
Perform dimensional measurements, visual inspections, non-destructive testing, and hardness testing
Verify equipment calibration and maintain calibration database
Review material test certificates during receiving inspection
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain quality documentation
Identify and communicate defects, errors, or quality issues
Conduct thread inspections according to API 5CT, 7-1 and premium connections
Raise and follow up on non-conformance reports (NCRs)
Ensure compliance with company's Safety, Security, and HSE policies
Skills Required:
Proficiency with standard measuring equipment and inspection tools
Ability to interpret quality control specifications, schematics, and drawings
Strong problem-solving skills with systematic approach
Detail-oriented with excellent attention to accuracy
Basic math skills
Computer literacy with Microsoft Office proficiency
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Trade Certificate
3-5 years minimum experience in oil & gas products inspection
Qualifications Preferred:
ASNT (American Society for Non-Destructive Testing) Level-2 certification in at least 2 NDE methods (LPT & MPT)
Experience with quality management systems
