Position Summary:
The Diploma Trainee Engineer – Quality Control supports quality assurance activities by assisting in inspection, testing, and documentation of manufactured components. This role provides hands-on training in quality control processes, measurement techniques, and compliance with applicable standards under the supervision of experienced quality engineers.
Work You’ll Do:
• Assist in inspection and measurement of components using basic quality tools and instruments.
• Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities as per quality plans.
• Help identify non-conformities and report deviations to senior quality engineers.
• Assist in maintaining inspection records, reports, and quality documentation.
• Support implementation of quality procedures, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
Team:
This role will be part of the Quality Assurance and Control team within the manufacturing facility, working closely with production, engineering, and senior quality personnel to ensure products meet defined quality standards.
Basic Qualifications:
• Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Fresher or up to 1 year of industrial training or quality-related experience.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and measurement concepts.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Willingness to learn quality processes and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Exposure to quality control practices through internship or apprenticeship.
• Basic knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001.
• Awareness of shop-floor inspection and manufacturing processes.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
