Quality Control CoordinatorReporting to the Quality Lead, the QA/QC , this position will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure the implementation and administration of the Quality Assurance Program during remediation and reinstatement activities to ensure services provided comply with the specified requirements.
The work includes remediation and restoration of private properties in Port Hope including earthworks, concrete, structures, paving, and landscaping.
This position will be based out of Port Hope, ON.
Ensuring Code and client specification requirements are implemented and completed on site.
Read and Interpret engineer’s civil and structural drawings
Reviewing and update project Inspection and Test Plans as needed throughout the project
Completing and documenting the site inspection and tests following the project Inspection and Test Plans
Comparing the completed site work against the design drawings and ensuring any changes are documented
Review of 3rd party test reports and accuracy and completeness
Assembly and review of completed documentation packages for submission to the client.
Raising and documenting non-conformances using the NCR process and implementing corrective actions
Other duties as assigned
Civil Engineering or Engineer Tech degree or relevant experience
Related 3 years experience in Industrial or Commercial Construction and Quality Control
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
Proficient with computer programs, including Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
Effective written and verbal communication skills
General experience and knowledge in earthworks, geotechnical, formwork and concrete, National building Code, architectural, and/or infrastructure would be considered an asset.
Maintain positive relationships with the other members of the project team.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
