Position responsibilities:
Understand TransPerfect’s quality standards and make sure they are upheld to meet the client’s expectations
Consult with Project Coordinators/Managers to discuss the client’s expectations and be able to understand the instructions provided to meet the client’s expectations
Properly utilize all appropriate supplemental materials (refer to client PAQ, reference material, glossaries, etc.)
Pre-flight source files and discuss any findings with the project manager before QC work begins to assess difficulty and foresee issues
Perform non-linguistic revision to all documents with great attention to details with a strong focus on names, numbers, missing text, punctuation and adherence to instructions.
Provide feedback to Project Managers or others who are involved in the project
Essential skills and experience required:
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset
University Degree (preferably in linguistic/translation related studies)
Previous experience in a similar role
Detail orientation with the ability to multitask
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Independence in carrying out assigned tasks
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Highly-developed computer skills (MS Office, Windows)
Be flexible with changes of priorities
