Job Description

Position responsibilities:

  • Understand TransPerfect’s quality standards and make sure they are upheld to meet the client’s expectations

  • Consult with Project Coordinators/Managers to discuss the client’s expectations and be able to understand the instructions provided to meet the client’s expectations

  • Properly utilize all appropriate supplemental materials (refer to client PAQ, reference material, glossaries, etc.)

  • Pre-flight source files and discuss any findings with the project manager before QC work begins to assess difficulty and foresee issues

  • Perform non-linguistic revision to all documents with great attention to details with a strong focus on names, numbers, missing text, punctuation and adherence to instructions.

  • Provide feedback to Project Managers or others who are involved in the project

Requirements

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset

  • University Degree (preferably in linguistic/translation related studies)

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Detail orientation with the ability to multitask

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Independence in carrying out assigned tasks

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Highly-developed computer skills (MS Office, Windows)

  • Be flexible with changes of priorities
