We are excited to welcome a Quality Compliance Specialist to our Quality & Compliance Department!
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who is passionate about behavioral health, quality improvement, compliance, and making a difference. In this role, you will play an important part in helping Colonial Behavioral Health maintain the highest standards of quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Examples of duties
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with performance improvement initiatives, including data integrity, fraud prevention, process efficiencies, and researching and analyzing data for quality purposes.
- Identify and monitor compliance, documentation, and quality trends to help strengthen services and outcomes.
- Assist with monitoring performance measures to ensure targets for access, productivity, and service delivery standards are achieved.
- Prepare reports and presentations that communicate performance findings and support informed decision-making.
- Conduct interviews and root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Serve as a Human Rights Advocate for individuals receiving services.
- Collaborate with staff and departments to promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required based on department needs.

Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to understand and apply policies related to programs and services for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Strong ability to prioritize, take initiative, manage time effectively, and work consistently and independently.
- Ability to learn and apply quality improvement tools and techniques in a behavioral health environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and use information to support quality improvement.
- Two years of work experience with individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate Degree in a human services field required,
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field preferred.
DMV record must be submitted with application.
