Job Description
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 7am - 330pm
Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Coordinator will assist with the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization's products and/or development processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor current programs in quality assurance as it pertains to distribution and processing as well as uphold the tenants of GMP.
- Assisting with AIB/BRC programs, review integrated pest management system, and documentation compliance in Tracegains system.
- Assist in root cause / corrective action activities.
- Be a part of the internal audit team and participates actively in the scheduled food safety and facility GMP audits.
- Be a part of the food safety team, assists with maintaining the food safety plan and updates SOPs as required.
- Interact with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.
- Performs activities to support the quality system, quality policy, quality procedures, work procedures.
- Ensure compliance of all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and CGMP.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and auditors.
- Project management skills and proficiency in analyzing and interpreting test data
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma2+ years of working in a GMP facility (preferred)Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, and other software.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
