As a Quality Ford Champ, you will be responsible for supporting the Quality team, focusing on finalizing pending development items and migrating the following 4 in-house applications to Google Cloud: QCC (Quality Control Center), CODEX (Documentation Master List), GaugeReady (Gauge certificates & expiration notifications app) and One Heat (heat maps).

What you´ll do:

Responsibilities List – Quality Ford Champ (Entry Level) – 2 positions

  1. Quality Control Center (support & migration)
  • Support closure of pending features/bug fixes identified in the current backlog.
  • Assist in re-architecting and migrating the application from its current hosting to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Help validate data integrity and functionality after migration .
  • Document technical specifications, data flows, and migration steps.
  • Support user access management and basic troubleshooting.
  1. CODEX – Documentation Master List (support & migration)
  • Help finish pending modules (document version control, search, and approval workflows).
  • Support migration of the documentation database/master list to Google Cloud.
  • Assist in cleaning and validating master list data prior to and after migration.
  • Support basic training material creation for end users.
  1. GaugeReady – Gauge Certificates & Expiration Notifications (support & migration)
  • Assist in completing pending features for gauge certificate upload/storage and automated expiration notifications.
  • Support migration of the app and its database to Google Cloud, ensuring notification/alert functions continue working.
  • Help test notification triggers for upcoming gauge due dates.
  • Support data validation of gauge inventory and certificate records.
  1. One Heat – Heat Map (support & migration)
  • Support finalization of pending visualization/reporting features of the heat map tool.
  • Assist in migrating data sources, dashboards, and back-end services to Google Cloud.
  • Help validate that heat map outputs match pre-migration results.
  • Support performance testing after migration.
  1. Google Cloud Migration (cross-application)
  • Support the overall migration plan/timeline for the 4 applications, tracking pending tasks and risks.
  • Assist with basic configuration of Google Cloud resources under supervision (IAM, storage, databases, compute).
  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future migrations.
  • Support cost/usage monitoring of Google Cloud resources.
  1. Daily / Administrative Activities
  • Prepare daily/weekly activity log and progress updates.
  • Attend team meetings, status reviews, and stand-ups related to the 4 applications.
  • Assist in preparing basic reports/dashboards on migration progress for leadership.

Requirements

  • Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Engineering or related studies (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer/Mechatronics Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, etc…).
  • 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Automotive Systems Engineering or a related field.

Languages

  • Fluent English (B2/C1 level equivalent), with excellent technical communication, reading, and writing skills.

Technical Knowledge

  • Google Cloud Platform: basic knowledge of or interest in learning App Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Firestore, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
  • Power Apps.
  • Software Development: familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or SQL, and web application concepts (front-end/back-end, APIs).
  • Databases: basic understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases and data migration concepts.
  • Quality Systems (a plus): familiarity with ISO 9001 concepts, documentation control, gauge calibration/control plans, or quality dashboards/heat maps.

  • Analytical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership, proactivity, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
