Broughton Hospital is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance/Standards Supervisor – Performance Improvement Supervisor position to work in the hospital’s Quality Risk Management and Compliance (QRMC) department.
The Performance Improvement Supervisor oversees the hospital’s Performance Improvement Program and is responsible for organizing, collecting, and aggregating data in a systematic manner consistent with accrediting body specifications to accomplish important hospital functions and ensure the effective utilization of hospital resources. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Monitoring and collecting information through audits and tracers for regulatory compliance efforts and performance improvement opportunities.
• Evaluating ongoing compliance with Joint Commission, hospital, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations.
• Developing programs to ensure staff are educated about regulations, accrediting body standards, and survey activities; and assists other units/departments and committees by providing technical assistance in relation to performance improvement tools and resources.
• Routinely carries out functions within the Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES) which includes reviewing and analyzing events, maintaining Patient Safety Work Product (PSWP) within a secure environment, and entering patient safety event information into the designated Patient Safety Event and Patient Safety Organization (PSO) databases.
This position reports directly to the Chief of QRMC and supervises three (3) positions.

Salary Range: $67,122.00 - $ 117,465.00

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.
The normal working schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm; however, flexibility us required for training purposes and to meet the overall needs of the hospital.
Broughton Hospital is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness. Our hospital serves the western thirty-seven (37) counties of North Carolina, as part of the state's system of care and treatment for persons with mental illness.

Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree in psychology, social work, education, health, business administration, marriage and family therapy or related human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in professional level treatment programming for the applicable client population;
or
Bachelor's degree in one of the fields listed above from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience as indicated above;
or
an equivalent combination of education and experience.
