The position will be filled at $52,530.00.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
The selected candidate may be required to work extra hours outside of the regular work schedule.
The selected candiate must be willing to travel, when necessary, within the state of Florida and occasionally overnight on short notice.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
(Incumbent of position is a member of DFS’ Disaster Response Team and, in that capacity, may be required on short notice to perform duties and necessary attendant travel in support of disaster relief efforts.)
Develop Training Materials and Train new employees in every aspect of their employment in the appropriate area of assignment including Applications, Records, Education and Customer Service (Analysis).
Perform quality audits of the Bureau’s varied functions per the Division/Bureau’s policy and procedures in accordance with Florida Statutes and administrative rules regarding:
Develop Policies and Procedures for the Applications Unit, Analysis Unit, Records Units, Education Unit and the Quality Audit/Training Unit.
Develop and deliver insurance regulatory training to Bureau staff members.
Develop training materials and provide training updates on existing policies and procedures, new policies & procedures and other regulatory updates.
Act as a Temporary Team Lead for any unit withing the Bureau of Licensing as needed and assigned, and to assist any unit in the Bureau with the workload, when deemed necessary, due to staff absences or a significant increase in volume of work due to any number of different reasons.
Draft Application Denials and Letters of Guidance.
Complete all RIRS reporting to NAIC.
Maintain, monitor and prepare reports on the Division’s Access Control.
Monitor and maintain employees’ CJIS expirations.
Update ALIS with all insurance company staffing updates (Form 14) when submitted from OIR.
Performs other duties as required.
