We're looking for an experienced Paving - Quality Assurance Technician to join our Paving Team, based out of Mt Wellington- Auckland.

The QA role is responsibility for supporting the paving project by performing key quantitative tasks, ensuring all measurement and material usage onsite are on track and all quality assurance paperwork and data are documented on time with accuracy.

Project Scope:

The work predominantly covers asphalt surfacing requirements for Auckland, at times we also support work across the North Island, in small to large scale high works including commercial, subdivision, private and industrial developments.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Conduct regular QA inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products

  • Ensure pre-job set up is completed by recording all hazards and controls, paving plans, area measurement, string, mix quantity calculations

  • Ensure onsite surfacing activities are recorded, and quantities are documented (i.e. sealing, milling & paving)

  • Collaborate with production staff to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure all site documents are collected at end of each job, complete & submit job summaries

  • Conduct any general labourer work when/as required

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Minimum Class 1 Full licence

  • WTR endorsement is a bonus

  • Have QA experience within Civil/Construction or similar testing experience

  • Strong calculation skills for metric calculation are highly ideal

  • Knowledge on surfacing materials and activities is highly desirable

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good level of physical fitness with ability to complete manual labour when required
