Quality Assurance Technician
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team and help ensure our HVAC/AHU products consistently meet quality standards. In this role, you’ll perform inspections, record findings from functional and safety testing, and maintain accurate documentation, helping to prevent defects and improve processes. You’ll collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Suppliers, supporting root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive product excellence.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
• Performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections of HVAC/AHU equipment, components, parts, and subassemblies to verify compliance with quality requirements.
• Supporting First Article Inspections (FAI) and validating product conformance to engineering specifications and customer expectations.
• Recording and maintaining detailed inspection reports, checklists, test results, and compliance documentation.
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting non-conformances using NCRs, CAPAs, and other quality tracking systems.
• Assisting with root cause investigations and recommending corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), including follow-up verification of effectiveness.
• Calibrating and maintaining inspection, testing, and measurement equipment.
• Supporting containment activities to prevent non-conforming products from advancing through production or shipping.
• Collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Suppliers to resolve quality concerns and implement process improvements.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, quality reviews, and lessons learned activities to strengthen product and process performance.
• Supporting functional and safety testing activities and ensuring accurate documentation of findings.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, or a related environment.
• Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or testing processes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and maintain high-quality standards.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including NCRs, CAPA, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn quality systems, testing procedures, and inspection standards.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
