Job Purpose
This annex lists specific duties, skills, and expectations that expand the core job description. It clarifies daily responsibilities across lines, supports onboarding and cross-training, and helps supervisors assign work and assess competence. Main Duties
- Act as the overall lead for Quality Assurance and Documentation across all commissary functions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA systems, documentation standards, and inspection procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance.
- Supervise QA Officers and Associates in conducting daily quality checks on raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
- Review, validate, and archive production records, checklists, and reports from all sections.
- Ensure all documentationsuch as monitoring sheets, temperature logs, calibration records, and checklistsis properly completed and filed.
- Coordinate with Section Leaders and the Operations Team to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Lead internal audits to verify adherence to hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
- Provide QA training and orientation for staff to strengthen awareness and compliance.
- Collaborate with Production and Warehouse teams to ensure traceability and product integrity throughout the supply chain.
- Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance quality consistency, reduce waste, and improve documentation accuracy.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or any related field.
- Minimum of 35 years experience in Quality Assurance within a food manufacturing, commissary, or FMCG environment.
- Experience in supervising or leading QA staff is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Proficient in documentation control, record management, and audit procedures.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and evaluate process performance.
- Familiarity with production equipment calibration, temperature monitoring systems, and traceability processes.
- Competent in using MS Office or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Forms).
- Experience with digital QA systems (preferred but not required).
