o Communicates with suppliers and vendors to address quality issues, logistics bottlenecks, and recommendations on improvement.
o Coordinate with suppliers on deliverable specifics, including handling, special requirements, hazards, and instructions on use.
o Collaborates and coordinates with internal departments to develop new methods of evaluation and inspection on supplier deliverables.
o Documents and processes supplier metrics to utilize data in future analyses of evaluation methods.
o Documents all work and maintains a daily log.
Qualifications
Experience:
o Minimum of three years’ supplier purchasing experience.
Skills:
o Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or schematics.
o Strong troubleshooting skills.
o Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, data entry, production software).
o Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills required for interaction within the group, other departments and customers
o Results-oriented, with ability to multitask
o Aptitude to learn new systems and technologies
o Ability to maintain professional demeanor
o Attention to detail
o Self-motivated and proactive
o English speaking with ability to read and write in English
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
o Standing, bending, reaching, and walking for extended periods.
o Visual ability correctable to 20/20 for performing visual inspections.
