The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports quality, operations, manufacturing and engineering teams by performing inspections, audits, and documentation reviews to maintain quality compliance. This role also supports engineers and others with testing, failure analysis and data reporting for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to
· Perform routine inspections and audits of materials, components, and finished products.
· Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
· Assist in identifying and reporting non-conformances.
· Support calibration and maintenance of QA tools and equipment.
· Conduct failure analysis (preliminary RCA) to identify primary and direct causes of failure.
· Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
· Performs other duties as assigned
Experience
· Technical Degree or equivalent experience and 1+ years of experience in a quality assurance or inspection role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Understanding of quality principles and inspection techniques.
· Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards.
· Basic Failure Analysis/ Technical Problem Solving
· Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic QA software tools.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills.
