The mission of the SC Commission for the Blind (SCCB), established in 1966, is to provide quality individualized vocational rehabilitation services, independent living services, and prevention-of-blindness services to South Carolinians who are blind or low vision leading to competitive employment and social and economic independence. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable person to perform fiscal and programmatic quality assurance duties to assess compliance, performance, and customer service. This role includes conducting quality case reviews and administering consumer surveys to evaluate service effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. The Specialist exercises strong knowledge of federal regulations, Consumer Services Policy, and the agency’s Fees, Codes and Procedures policy to communicate compliance findings clearly and effectively. Duties will include:
A high school diploma and experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Knowledge of agency's mission, programs and objectives. Ability to exercise and exhibit a strong knowledge of federal regulations, Consumer Services policy and procedure, agency's fees, and codes in order to efficiently and clearly communicate compliance findings to the requestor. Ability to review payments against authorization for appropriate processing by field staff.
