Brief Description

Barilla is looking for a talented and qualified Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Volos Mill. The individual will report to the Mill Manager. The objective of the position is to guarantee the execution of analysis and control plans, manage the non-compliances, and identify the deviations and the corrective actions with a continuous improvement approach.

Key Accountabilities

  • Sampling, analysis and evaluation of MMPP to guarantee the master plan criteria (timing/data) and their integrity, by managing the non-compliances and evaluating the corrections with the suppliers
  • Support to the QC for specific analysis that requires the use of specific instruments
  • Guaranteeing Barilla standards through different analysis: organoleptical, physical, humidity, AW, and monitoring and evaluating company KPI’s in order to identify areas of improvement
  • Guaranteeing the compliance with the central quality standards with sampling, analysis, and evaluation for concession or derogation in case of non-compliance
  • Providing the documentation for the certifications (FFSC22000, IFS etc) and for the annual reviews of data, procedures, and registers requested by these standard certifications
  • Implementation of procedures relating to quality in the production ensuring the full engagement of line operators
  • Audit in the CCP and PRPO verification department
  • Managing the orders and complaints for the laboratory
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the instruments through calibration
  • Spreading the culture of Quality & Food Safety in the mill throughout procedures, inspections, and trainings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Agriculture, Chemistry, Food Technology, Engineering or Food Science & Technology
  • Minimum working experience of 2 years in relevant positions
  • Fluent in English. Italian is appreciated
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Result oriented, dynamic and self-motivated personality
  • Enthusiastic, positive with a continuous learning attitude
