The CMS Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist reports to the VTS Site Manager (SM) as well as the VTS Program Manager (PM) and is responsible for ensuring product specifications are accurate and all hazardous materials (HM) are properly labeled at the Contractor warehouse prior to being delivered to the HTA’s for customer usage. The QA specialist must be able to conduct inspections on both products and reports, to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Must plan, direct and coordinate the product surveillance program at the warehouse and coordinate with the warehouse employees as well as the QC Specialist for all programmatic (to include on-base) quality program needs. Must be able to assist the ALC with all product questions and concerns. Works directly under the QC Specialist but reports directly to the Site Manager and Program Manager on all warehouse matters. Must be able to properly diagnose issues and formulate corrective actions for both immediate fixes and long-term solutions. The QA Specialist must have a good eye for detail as well as be able to work in a warehouse daily where temperatures fluctuate constantly.
