Job Description

Join Novo Nordisk as a Quality Specialist and play a key role in maintaining our Quality Management System in the commercial affiliate, supporting audits, and ensuring safe, compliant product supply across the local market. Apply now and help us deliver excellence for patients.

Your new role

As a QA Specialist, you will maintain and continuously improve the affiliate’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with Novo Nordisk standards, Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and applicable regulatory requirements. You will work closely with QA leadership, cross‑functional teams and external partners to manage deviations, change controls and CAPAs, support audits and inspections, and ensure that quality considerations are embedded in operations and innovative business models.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Maintain and improve the QMS: manage documentation, change control, deviation handling, CAPA processes and archiving to protect licence to operate.
  • Support audits, inspections and regulatory interactions by preparing materials, coordinating responses and ensuring readiness for GDP/GMP reviews.
  • Oversee training and competence tracking (GxPtraining), provide data for Quality Management Reviews and ensure staff comply with required quality training.
  • Ensure GDP compliance across the distribution chain: support temperature/humidity assessments, transport validation, equipment qualification and collaboration with warehouse/supply partners.
  • Contribute to risk management and operational projects: perform Quality Risk Management (QRM), support validation of GxP IT solutions and enable compliant sample distribution and tender support.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Pharmacy, Health Sciences or a related field, with experience in QA tasks.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a quality technical role within the pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
  • Solid understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and proven experience with GDP activities and compliance is a requirement.
  • Fluent in English and in Spanish.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, and familiarity with QMS tools and documentation systems. Innovative and data driven mindset.

You are collaborative, curious and results‑oriented, able to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels. You bring integrity and a strong compliance mindset, adapt quickly to change, and proactively drive solutions to complex quality challenges. Your analytical approach and attention to detail help you make quality decisions that protect patients and the business.

Your new department

You will join the Affiliate Quality team working office based in Madrid. The team works closely with internal partners —including Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Operations & Staff Quality and all business functions— to translate global quality standards into local practice. Externally, the group interfaces with distributors, service suppliers, partners and health authorities to ensure compliant supply, manage inspections and resolve quality issues. Day‑to‑day the department balances operational support, audit readiness and continuous improvement, providing the quality‑focused backbone that enables the affiliate to deliver on its commitments.
