Job Description

On behalf of our client, a well-established leader in the FMCG industry, based in Volos, we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance & Quality Control Supervisor to oversee quality systems, production compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the implementation of all Quality Systems of the plant and verifies compliance with quality control procedures (laboratory analysis methods, sampling and measurements during production), as well as the completion of the relevant forms and the statistical processing of data (measurements and results).
  • Plans and coordinates the activities of the quality control laboratory.
  • Controls the production process and proceeds with its suspension only when deemed necessary, in order to identify the causes leading to the production of products outside specifications and to implement the appropriate corrective actions.
  • Is responsible for defining and ensuring standards related to Safety, Hygiene, and Quality in production processes, as well as for the clear definition, effective communication, required training of all involved personnel, and their compliance.
  • Supervises compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, resolves quality and food safety issues in production, factory premises, and warehouse areas.
  • Supervises the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conducts internal and external audits across all factory and warehouse facilities.
  • Supervises the design and development of new products.
  • Leads, guides, and supports the Research and Development (R&D) team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Works closely with other teams, such as marketing, production, etc., to ensure the smooth transition of products from development to market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Agriculture, with a specialization in Food Technology.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience, including prior experience in a similar role within an industrial food or beverage production facility.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, IFS – International Food Standard, and Organic Product standards.
  • Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop teams effectively.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive continuous improvement.
