Job Description

The QA Compliance Supervisor provides technical expertise and provides strategic support for quality compliance initiatives across Factors Group locations. This role oversees Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) / Preventative Control Plan (PCP) management, import/export compliance, and supplier requalification programs.

Permanent Full-Time (40 hours)
Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (flexible); Hybrid

In this role, you will:

• Plan and manage activities needed for the attainment and maintenance of key quality certificate and licenses, export health certificates/permits, licenses, and import requests
• Lead the team to secure mandatory import and export documentation, liaising directly with government regulatory bodies (such as CFIA and USDA)
• Lead the maintenance and updates to Food Safety Preventative Control Plans (PCP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs as required
• Support in supplier management program by leading all activities related to supplier requalification
• Support in quality agreement management, complaint handling, certification management programs as applicable
• Support manager with staff schedule, timesheets, performance assessment and of human resources matters

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or Food Science)
• Experience in a similar role in food, natural health products (NHP), and/or pharmaceutical industry (5+ years)
• Supervisory experience (2+ years)
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Excellent command of the English language (both written & verbal)
• Competent with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Knowledge of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Food and Drugs Act (FDA), US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Health Canada, European Union TRACES, and Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regulations.
• Proficient with food safety preventative control plan (PCP) / hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP).
• Experience in importing and exporting (an asset)
• Valid driver’s license, with access to a reliable vehicle
