You ensure quality in the factory and are responsible for meeting quality targets. You are fully responsible for the people, machinery and the identification and elimination of quality losses and problems in the department. You grow your team’s capabilities and coordinates departmental activities in accordance with corporate standards, local requirements and ISO standards. In this role, you report directly to the plant manager with dotted line responsibility to corporate quality.
You will ensure that all quality objectives, goals and targets in the factory (including regional and global commitments) are met. You will develop and track your department’s budget and eliminate losses. With your team, you will conduct regular plan-do-act-check assessments to plan how targets will be met, executing the plan and periodically checking and taking action to stay on track. In addition, you will ensure that there is strict adherence with all appropriate laws, food safety quality standards and consumer requirements of all manufactured products and manage crisis situations internally and externally in ways that support the company’s image, policies and business. As a people leader, you are responsible for recruitment and structuring of the department to ensure there are sufficient resources to deliver on plant objectives, set and assess performance goals, and coach and mentor team members.

-Top management representative for quality and food safety
-Primary responsibility for developing quality agenda for the, getting buy in from stakeholders and assurance of objectives’ fulfilment
-Promotion of consumer inspired quality culture across the plant
-Make sure that QFS management system is operationnel and conform vs requirement (Iso , QCMS ,) and liaise with top management if isn’t the case
-Primary responsibility for developing, maintaining and optimizing quality and food safety management system & lead of FS team on site in accordance with legal, corporate and certification requirements.
-Participation in internal audits and gap assessments on site.
-Coordinating corporate and certification audits on behalf of plant management
-Active participation in networking, benchmarking and sharing learning and best practices between sites across EEMEA region
-Reviewing and agreement of all new projects on site before their final approval, supporting project leaders in meeting legal and corporate requirements
-Key support to production in assurance of product quality and food safety.
-Final decision maker for go/not go in case of product deviation from specification
-Primary contact for food safety/health authorities in case of consumer complaints and planed/unplanned inspections
-Leading investigation and acting as a primary point of contact in case of sensitive/significant complaints; assurance of efficient complaints handling in all other cases.
-Assurance of investigation of internal nonconformities, root cause analysis, planning and fulfilment of corrective and preventive actions, assessment of their efficiency
-Acting as a quality pillar leader when implementing IL6S and iQS on site, support to all other pillar leads
-Active participation in the program of local supplier development
-Development and coaching of quality employees to fully unleash their potential
-Leading quality programs/projects/events to increase quality awareness and commitment across the plant
· Higher diploma in Food process Engineering , Micro, chemical, technological or quality management education Proficient English skills
· Proficient English skills
· Good knowledge of biscuits technological process
· Good knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC22000, PAS96 requirements
· Expert knowledge of legal and corporate requirements to products’ quality and food safety
· Advanced PC user (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook)
· Qualified internal auditor of Quality and Food safety management system
· Qualified supplier auditor/developer
