Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager / Engineer to lead quality initiatives and help ensure products, processes, and operations consistently meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

This position combines hands-on quality engineering with leadership and will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, resolving quality issues, and partnering with operations and engineering teams to drive long-term corrective solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Monitor manufacturing, production, or operational processes to ensure compliance with established quality requirements.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues, defects, and process failures.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and process consistency.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Production, and other departments to resolve quality concerns.
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct and support internal, customer, and regulatory quality audits.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records, procedures, and reports.
  • Review engineering specifications, drawings, processes, and documentation to identify potential quality concerns.
  • Support supplier and vendor quality initiatives, including the evaluation and resolution of supplier-related quality issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees regarding quality procedures and standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives designed to reduce defects, improve reliability, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage or provide technical guidance to Quality Assurance personnel, as applicable.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection processes, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
  • Experience investigating quality issues and implementing sustainable corrective solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, operational, and leadership teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a Quality or Engineering environment.
  • Experience working within an ISO-certified or highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, CAPA, continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with supplier quality and customer quality concerns.
  • Quality-related certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Lean, or Six Sigma.
